Massage Therapists: Is This You?

A person has a dream.

They start their own massage business and become a massage-business owner.

They risk a great deal. They make enormous sacrifices.

They deal with attorneys. They deal with investors.

They deal with every aspect of the business.

They create great systems. They reap the rewards of all their blood, sweat and tears.

They have risked a great deal. They have been rewarded for it!

A massage therapist employee massages clients.

They provide a good service and they are paid for it. (But they do not risk anything.)

They do not create further value for the business. They can be replaced.

But they feel they are entitled to more money from these business owners.

They were not there to see the risks taken. They have not put their reputation, life-savings and butts on the line.

They massage clients.

They are entitled to a paycheck.

If they want more money and responsibility they can make more of an effort.

Nothing is stopping them from doing so. Nothing is stopping YOU from doing so.

If you feel you can do it "Better" than the person you work for, you could try to make it on your own.

If you feel the business owner is 'ripping you off' by keeping too much of the money charged for your service, you could try to make it on your own.

If you feel you are "entitled" to solicit the business' clients for your private practice, you are sadly wrong, and you could try to make it on your own.

If you feel you are not being treated "fairly" by the person you work for, you could try to make it on your own.

Yes, this is a simple story. But that's because the message is simple.

If you resent where you are working - leave.

No one benefits from your staying. Not the business owner, not the clients and certainly not you. Be mature and responsible and give your employer notice that you will be leaving.

Do not sabotage your reputation in trying to sabotage the business or steal clients. That would NOT be ethical nor professional, nor, if you believe in it - good karma.

If you want to stay with your employer and want more from where you are working, you need to put in more.

More effort, more energy, more attention to detail and certainly, more care into your massage with your clients.

Right now you are earning exactly what you deserve to be earning and being treated exactly as you deserve to be treated.

Don't like it?

Well, how much effort are YOU willing to put in to get what you want?

Look around you in your present business situation (or in any of your places of employment) and you will see people who are putting in the effort and reaping the rewards!

GO TAKE ACTION!

Get what you deserve by taking responsibility for your self and your career as an employee!

or...

Start your OWN massage business and see if you can make all your dreams come true with hard work, sweat and yes, probably some tears!

Success IS Possible!
